Why Bob is running
I am not running because I want the title or for the prestige. I genuinely want to serve and give back to this community that has treated my family and me so well. I believe that I am uniquely qualified and have the abilities to perform the many duties and responsibilities of this office in a professional and responsible manner. I have over 13 years experience as a probation officer in multiple courts and in various areas of this state. I deal with Judges, Court officials, and Law Enforcement personnel on a daily basis. I have a bachelor’s degree in history and psychology, and I served in the US Air Force for 11 years. I also have a paralegal certificate from Dalton State College. I have a vision and a purpose for my candidacy. I will improve teamwork, improve communications, create a court website, improve training, and maintain the highest standards. I have the knowledge and determination to perform all of the duties and requirements of this position. I can save the county over $13,000 per year in salary savings between me and my opponent's current salary. During the Senior Leadership Academy, put on by the Chamber of Commerce, Dixie Kinnard gave me a book called "The Servant." This is a great book and I would recommend anyone interested in public service of any type to read it. I believe you have to be running for the right reasons. And running to make a positive change and serve this great community is the right reason. I pledge to perform all the duties and responsibilities of this office to the best of my abilities. I will be honest and I will help provide fair and equal justice for all. I do not believe in favoritism for friends or family members. We must all be treated fairly and equally. I believe government should work well and efficiently. I know that there are problems in this community. I want to help offer positive solutions to these problems. One of these problems is a racial gap. I am a third generation U.S. Citizen but I also have a Hispanic heritage. I believe that this makes me uniquely able to bridge this racial gap in our community. I also want to prove to all law-abiding citizens that if you work
hard and play by the rules you too can be successful. I want to inspire
others to work hard and achieve success in their lives. |
